Sometimes we wake up and just feel like something is missing. You can’t always put your finger on what is wrong, but there is a slight agitation brewing. This is not an indication that something is wrong as much as it is a warning light or symptom of needing to change your perception to see the good that is always before us.
There was a young lawyer who was struggling and facing personal and financial challenge. Feeling overwhelmed, he had an epiphany to write one think you note every day for a year.
He forced himself to find even the smallest kindnesses to acknowledge – from people who gave him business to a client who paid a small bill or a friend who offered a kind word.
What he discovered was by focusing on the good, on what was right as Saint Paul invites us to do in Philippians 4:8 ( Think on these Things) instead of what was broken, his mindset shifted.
This simple discipline turned his life around.
What is good and right in your life. Think on that.
Blessings, Rev Janice
