Walking the Lenten path is a journey from seeing with our human eyes to seeing from our spiritual consciousness. This shift requires us to slow down, to listen to our intuition so we notice the subtle energies and sacred space in which we live and move and have our beingness.
Beingness is like isness. As we enter into Being, our mind quiets and we enjoy the luxury of a few moments of Presence. A few moments of Presence is like a staycation. We don’t go anywhere but we are renewed and everything looks brighter and lovely and shines with light.
The way to reach that state is through Acceptance . It is releasing our programmed mind. One of the most common programs is that of complaining. We think we know what is right and just and to our ego mind it makes sense to complain about something we think is wrong.
Of course in the world there are trials and tribulations, yet we overcome those trials and tribulations by overcoming the world. By seeing the world with Spiritual eyes. This doesn’t mean the world goes away. It means we are able to penetrate through the appearance and into to knowing all things on the horizontal axis of existence passes away.
That is how life expresses. Every form is born, grows, changes and begins another transition into another realm. Seeing the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly shows a clear example of how one Being can shapeshift into another. Yet we think what does that have to do with me?
Well, we are of Nature. Myrtle Fillmore, our co-founder, received her epiphany of our inter-beingness, our Oneness while watching a caterpillar walk along a branch. Nature has a way to calm us when we allow her to. Nature is a great teacher of acceptance.
When we complain about someone or something, it keeps us agitated and frustrated. The more we struggle, the more we are caught in the trap of the mind, jumping from branch of justification to the branch of explaining to the branch of how could this be happening.
The antidote to every issue, every seeming problem is to stop, enter the Silence, be still and know that everything changes.
Thank God.
