Advent of Joy

This Sunday at 6:30,  join us as we continue our Advent walk into the Light.  The discussions and fellowship in this class has been wonderful.  To share with like minds draws us into a deeper understanding and desire to apply our practical Spiritual Truth Principles.

Joy breaks out when we are following our passion and purpose.  Ancient wisdom would call this Dharma, which means following our right behavior.  The Bible would say –  “As a man thinketh is his heart, se he is.”  We are what we believe.  When we follow our true nature it feels right.

A story about our true nature comes from Eknath Easwaran.  When he was a boy, in the village where he lived, the monsoon rains brought hundreds of frogs to cluster around the temple.  At night they would sing their throaty chorus.  Then the snakes would come and try to catch one or two and swallow the frog alive. He said it was painful to hear.  During the day, if he saw a big snake eyeing a frog and the frog looking at him with appeal, as if to say “save me,”  he used to scare the snake away.  His friends laughed at him saying, “why are you depriving the snake of its food.”  He said he had no answer.
He went to his grandmother with this dilemma, to which she replied.  “It is a snakes dharma to kill.  It is your dharma to save.”

Join us this Sunday at 6:30 Pm. which is our last in this Advent series as we cover the unfoldment of Joy. This promises to bring us into a deepening awareness of our Christ Consciousness.
