God blessed them and God said to them, “be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1:28)
What would it be like for us to take this scripture into our Being and consider what it means to us? What is it that we must multiply in order to be fruitful, in order to live a meaningful and fulfilling life?
In Unity, we see the Bible as a guide that we can use to keep us calm in the midst of chaos and willing to be of service to God, ourselves and others, understanding we are all offspring of this Divine Power and Force in which we live and move and have our Being..
Some may think this is about money; but to “Be Fruitful” is to step into the isness and fill yourself with the Love that God is, so as to cultivate the qualities most Godlike, such as generosity, gratitude, forgivness.
Eric Butterworth writes in Spiritual Economics that prosperity is an attitude toward life. A way of thinking and living. Prosperity is spiritual wellbeing.
We are human and spiritual. Let us lift our humanness up by centering ourselves in Being and remember there is only One Being, God, the absolute good, omnipotent. As we take that in, that there is only One Being, and many human expressions, we may choose to elevate our human consciousness by aligning, attuning with God and allowing even more good to flow to us.
