Cardinals – Signs of Love

Join us on Sunday as we celebrate Mother’s Day and experience the Divine Feminine face of God.

People have always looked for signs from God, a sense of knowing they are loved and all is well.

The Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus.  Asking him to show them a sign from heaven.  He answered:  “When it is evening, you say “it will be fair weather, for the sky is red, and in the morning, it will be stormy today for the sky is red .. You know how to interpret the appearances of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the time.”

I loved the cardinal that came and sat outside our stained glass window this past Saturday.  He actually pecked at the glass, as if to say, “see me.”  This was at the end of our Celebration of Life Service for Dave.  My friend  Rev Julia, looked up the meaning of a cardinal visiting and she shared with me its meaning.

” Cardinals appear when angels are near. If it is there, you loved one will be.” The sight of a male cardinal holds special meaning evoking emotional or spiritual feelings.  Cardinals represent devotion and loving relationships.  In connection with a departed loved one, cardinals signify beauty in the midst of darkness, hope in the midst of sorrow and renewal in the mist of winter. They say the vibrant red bird is an uplifting happy sign that those we have lost will live forever, so long as we keep their memory alive in our hearts.”

Dave always had my back and he will always live in my heart.
