“Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find.” (John 21:6)

What is it like for you when you awaken in the morning?  Some days after a good night’s sleep,  one can feel energized, enthused and ready to take on the day.  Other times, it seems like you just can’t get the energy to face the day.

Bother feelings are missing something, and the missing piece is Spirit.

When I was a child in Michigan.  My mother and I would sit near the fireplace in the morning and have a cup of tea.  This ritual has carried on in my life.  However the fireplace has been replaced with a lanai.   What this moment of sitting does is it clears our mind of yesterday while preparing us to receive the good of today.  Even in the midst of challenges, we need to have a clear and open mind so that Castwe make the best decisions for us.

Think of your mind like a net.  We want to enter the day with our mind open, receptive and ready to accept divine ideas.  If our nets are filled with yesterday’s leftovers or scenes about tomorrow, we cannot catch divine ideas that are available for us from God.

Blessings, Rev Janice
