Celebrate

The disciples of John asked Jesus, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?” And Jesus said to them, “The wedding guests cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them can they? (Matthew9:14)

Have you noticed when preparing for a celebration, a nagging irritation can surface of what is not right;  or when one is in the throes of loss, well meaning people try to “reframe it in a spiritual way?”

One of the messages Jesus shared with us is to use our common sense and be present with what is happening.

I have had the honor to serve Unity of Fort Pierce for ten years. Ten is a spiritual number and prophetically, spiritually and literally we are feeling, seeing and experiencing what the NUMBER 10 represents for us as we celebrate 10 years.

The meaning of 10 literally means perfection of divine order, completeness, nothing lacking, and a start of a whole new order.

In the Bible we find:
The Ten Commandments contain all that is necessary.
The Lord’s Prayer is completed in ten clauses.
The Tithe of 10% represents what was due in appreciation to God from man.

The ten “I AM”s of Jesus in John:
I am the Bread of life.
I am the Bread of Life which came from heaven.
I am the Living Bread.
I am the Light of the world.
I am One that bears witness of Myself.
I am the Door of the sheep.
I am the Good Shepherd.
I am the Resurrection and the Life.
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
I am the True Vine.

There are ten Parables of the Kingdom in the Gospel of Matthew.

Join us this Sunday as we worship together and give thanks for the message of Unity.

Blessings
Rev. Janice
