Easter

“He is not here, for he has risen… go tell his disciples.”

Whenever we face challenging times in life, especially the loss of a loved one, there eventually comes a time when we must put aside the grief, the heartache and continue to live our lives, because of that love.

Life calls us to carry on,  and so when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb,   I’m sure they came to pour out their heart to Jesus, who they loved.

I often speak with Dave, as I look at his photo; when I go to Michigan, I visit my parents and my brother Barry’s grave.  It is a human expression of love to continue the relationship with those who have passed.  Although not physical, they live in our awareness.  We know they are gone, and yet, are they?  Don’t they all live on in our ways, in our ideas, in how we show up in life.

The consciousness of Mary in us is the first part of our soul to become aware that there is within us a Consciousness of the Christ and this Christ, which is Love, never dies.

When the Mary’s reached the tomb,  they discover that the heavy, heavy stone of troubling thoughts has been rolled away and an Angel tells them “he is not here, for he has risen… go tell the disciples.” (Matthew 28)

It is then that we can SEE the illusion of separation.  Yes, our bodies are separate entities but the love that binds us is eternal  Love is here and now present for us to dive into and allow this love to support us.

Easter commemorates not only Jesus Christ’s victory over death, but also all the other minor resurrections’ in our lives.  Easter is believed to be derived from Ostara, the German word for Easter. Ostara is linked to the goddess of spring, a time of new life, and renewal.

So go tell your disciples and join us this Sunday as we “rise up” in consciousness and  celebrate the Love that rises in us and Lives us.
Happy Easter
