Easter Prayer

If you want to know how to be happy and fulfilled, look at nature. She is filled with ancient wisdom.  The nature of nature is to come forth from a seed, evolve, bloom and die graciously giving nutrients to the new life emerging. Nature does this without taking thought.

If you want to know how to be happy, look at the birds in the air.  They live from moment to moment, they fly from branch to branch. They sing, they chirp, they rejoice.  They build nests, for their babies, They teach their hatchlings how to live and soon they are off soring on their own.
Birds are part of nature, and do this, without taking thought.

If you want to know how to be happy and fulfilled, look at a child, for a child lives in the moment and out from their imagination.  They can be happy playing on an amazing playground or children will play in the midst of war torn rubble.  A child plays without taking thought.

Birds, animals, children are part of nature and are perfect images for what it means to be happy,  for they are living in the eternal now.  When we live from the eternal now, we are spared the guilt, the comparisons, the agonizing over outcomes that torment “educated adult human beings.”

It is my Easter prayer that we all wake up from the world and its stories. It is my Easter prayer that we take delight in everything and in nothing.  It is my Easter prayer that we realize that Life/Love/Light is the only Truth.  That this Truth may be expressed in many different ways and through many different Masters who have awakened from the trance of the world and live from the Kingdom Consciousness.

To find the Kingdom Consciousness is the easiest and most difficult thing to find.  Easy,  because it is everywhere. Difficult,  because it is now here and we are not often now here.

We cannot hear the birds who sing to us; we cannot hear the children who cry out for love; we cannot see the beauty of the flowers nor appreciate nature’s  fragrance because we are in such a hurry with nowhere to go.

It is my Easter prayer for all of us to set our mind on God’s Kingdom and let thy Kingdom come and Thy Will be done in us this day.

Happy Easter, Rev Janice
