I just dropped off three boxes of food to the Treasure Coast Food Bank. They were very grateful. The summer can be especially challenging when children are not in school. The easiest problem to solve is hunger. All we need is the desire to help by bringing in items of non-perishable foods. Each week I get them to the Food Bank. All of us together, we can help to eliminate food insecurity. Please bring in your offerings of food each week.
Also, we are collecting Tools for Schools, St. Lucie. This is a practical application of the axiom, if you give a person a fish you feed him for a day, if you teach him to fish you feed him for a lifetime. This is our opportunity to help children succeed. Please bring in your school items. (backpacks, paper, envelops, notepads, binders, pens, pencils, markers… We have a large box and they will pick it up at the end of July. Or you can go onto smile. Amazon and choose Unity of Fort Pierce as your charity of choice and Amazon also sends Unity of Fort Pierce a donation. We have been averaging about $30 every few months for purchasing items this way.
We are the Lights of the world. The way we can shine this light really bright is to express our love by being willing to help others through giving of our time, our talents, and our treasure. Please help us help others.
