In A Course in Miracles, Thanksgiving is viewed as a spiritual practice of sincere gratitude for God’s eternal love and the gifts of forgiveness and peace, which are not material but are internal and eternal.
To be grateful we rise up in Spirit. We are lifted out from the heaviness of what Charles and Myrtle Fillmore called the temporal world and into the sweetness of life.
Life is a continuous dance, and each inhalation fills all form with the its vibration of love; may we be aware of the these frequencies as they activate all our cells and organs.
Thanksgiving is a moment where we may be still enough to see through our manufactured concepts and into the Truth of Beauty, Perfection and Divine Order that underlies us all.
To notice a pod of dolphins, a flock of birds, or a school of fish reminds us we are social creatures and we have a deep desire and need for each other; not only to survive but to thrive through serving the God that is in all of creation.
May your Thanksgiving be a special time of awareness where the Face of God comes into view in the form of all of creation and have the wisdom to stop and let yourself experience the ecstasy of Love.
Happy Thanksgiving, Rev Janice
