On Sunday we looked at Rumi’s poem “The Guest House.” Mystically understood our life is a Guest House and every morning new guests arrive.
One of the tools we can use to greet these guests, especially those that are unexpected or not welcome is Spiritual Intention. This tool is not like setting a goal to accomplish something, it is more of intending to “be” a certain way in the world, to respond from a higher awareness as we face and engage with the full spectrum of what it means to be “Human.”
As the poem reads: “This being human is a guesthouse. Every morning a new arrival.”
When a guest arrives that is not wanted, a nagging fear thought, a resistance, remember it is only an energy. It is not tangible, it is a “thought form” so when we set a Spiritual intention we are saying to the Universe it is my intention to show up with a clear mind and an open heart, meaning I am not living from preconceived thoughts, concepts or past stories.
To go a little deeper we may set our intention to listen and be guided by Spirit. This is a great intention as it is indicating to Spirit, “I am here and I am Spiritual devoted to listening and being guided.”
Join me in the next 40 days to intentionally let Spirit live us, knowing “it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom” (Situations faced alone are difficult but through faith, all is well).
Let us align ourselves in our Spiritual Identity of “I AM” and speak these intentions
Today I am abundant. Today I am accepting. Today I am aware, Today I am clear, Today I am compassionate; Today I am confident; Today I am courageous.
Let Love lead the way.
