In Mark and Matthew Jesus was inviting all of us to rest a while. He said “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Life is beautiful and it can be emotional and exhausting. When we do too much, our body lets us know that its time to practice self-care. This is especially true during the heat of the summer. Be aware of when we need to slow down, put our feet up and rest.
Summer heat makes us even more prone to needing to care for our physical and mental health. These two are interdependent. When your body is weary, it triggers the mind into self judgment and judging others.
Our society calls on us to be a contribution. Yet, the best contribution we could make is to show up and model what it looks like to live from a place of clarity, peace, comfort, joy and gratitude.
The seasons of life truly go by fast. Let us all let go of the grip we may have on life and trust that Divine Order is at work bringing about the highest and best for all creation.
Enjoy the summer. Take it easy. Be still and Know that God is right where you are.
Blessings,
