Unity World Day of Prayer is Thursday September 12 at 6:30. This very special service will be offered by Rev Janice and Rev Julia – our intention is to cultivate and experience this prayerful consciousness with Unity of Jensen Beach so we can express it into our world.
When we gather together with prayerful intentions we are following the teachings of Jesus who said “if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
When we gather together for World Day of Prayer it is not a gathering to get God to do something, it is a gathering for us to wake up to the Truth that we are all the expressions of this One Life Force called God. God is the love that is us, love informs us and we are the inlets and may become the outlets of that love, as Eric Butterworth says.
God, in our teachings, is a formless Source underlying all things. We are not the thing – we are the very essence of Love that rises up in us when we allow ourselves to Be Still and Know that I Am.
How does this knowing help us? How is it practical in our lives?
In the journey from seeing ourselves as strictly human to identifying more with our Spiritual essence, when we realize and live from the awareness that we are spiritual Beings living in a Spiritual Universe having a momentary physical incarnation, then it changes the way you see, think and act in the world.
We become less judgmental and more forgiving; less critical and more compassionate, less cruel and more kind, less prejudicial and more inclusive. In other words, we become more Christ like, Buddha like, Krishna like, and most of all more loving to all of creation.
Join us Thursday for an evening of prayer, meditation, prayers, music and an opportunity to write your prayers which will be sent to Silent Unity and held in prayer for 30 days.
