“The water I give you will become a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” (John 4)
One of the popular drinks out today are the Energy Drinks. I’ve actually never tried an energy drink and I understand people drink them to “power” through the day to accomplish what is theirs to do. I especially like to have a cup of tea around 3 pm for that extra little boost.
However there is a much better Source to receive energy and it is to take a few minutes and become still.
I’m reminded of the conversation Jesus had with the woman at the well when Jesus said to her “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.” She wanted to know where that well was so she didn’t have to keep coming back to draw water from this well.
This eternally gushing well of water is available to all of us. We want to put ourselves into the flow of this stream. One of the things that stops us from taking God moments are all the changes that are happening in our lives today. Our mind becomes so distracted or distraught. What helps me is to remember that God is Change and if God is change and I am one with God then I know whatever is happening – I God it – and I notice how all unfolds in Divine Order.
Until this action becomes our nature and habit we must work at taking a God moment, being still and letting ourselves be filled with the awareness that God and I are One.
That is a much more powerful energy drink and quenches our thirst for wholeness.
Blessings,
Rev Janice
