Thanksgiving, Gratitude and Appreciation
The elixir of Life!”
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
To really understand and practice Spiritual principles we want to move our mindset from a state of getting and wanting to giving and receiving.
To manifest anything in our lives, prosperity, harmony, relationships, we want to put ourselves in a higher vibration. We want to live from a state of mind that draws to us that which we are looking for. Our mind is an incredible tool; whatever we are holding in mind, our mind will go out and look for it, find evidence for it. That is how the mind works. This is why we are advised to “Give thanks in all all circumstances.” See it all as good, as God expressing. This shift in perception makes the difference in how we experience everything that comes into our lives.
Giving thanks for that which I have and that which I have not yet received opens me to accept all the good that is yet to be. The key words, “to be.” Be still and Know that I am blessed, I am loved, I am appreciated. This is living in faith, and that I trust the process that life unfolds for our highest good.
There is something unique and precious about Thanksgiving morning as the preparations for the meal begins. The parades, the music, the football are the backdrop for the anticipation of welcoming family and friends to come and sit a while.
Whether you will be serving turkey or tofu the willingness to prepare and serve a meal made from the love of one’s heart is what makes Thanksgiving a beautiful ritual to remind us of all that we have, all that we are and all that will be.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving,
Rev Janice .
